Hallmark Channel Premiere | November 1, 2020

I'm all for decorating your office at Christmas, but I think Jennifer might be a psychopath.

Full disclosure: I dislike 12 days movies. I find them silly and tedious, and I usually wish that there were only 5 or 6 days in Christmas when I watch them. Fortunately, this movie does not take us through all 12 days. Unfortunately, it's still not a very good movie.

In this one, Aidan and Jennifer are both going after the promotion to "Head Game Creator" at their scavenger hunt planning company. See what I mean about this not being a very good movie? Jennifer and Aidan work together on a 12 days-themed scavenger hunt for an important client. This crucial work project requires them to wander the city while eating at fancy restaurants, wine tasting, painting, and learning to cook an authentic Buche de Noel. For the record, this is not a real job.

Aidan and his sister are trying desperately to save their 100-year-old house that has a leaky kitchen sink and a bad internet connection. This is apparently an emergency, and the house could be condemned if Aidan doesn't get the promotion to "Head Game Creator." Jennifer, on the other hand, will have to move to Iowa if she doesn't get it, because her family will consider her a failure and demand that she move back home. None of this makes any sense.

Hallmark gets an A on: the one clever clue - 5 golden rings; Jennifer's neighbor who owns the tree lot; the dress

Hallmark gets a D on: Jennifer's office; the entire plot

Grade: D

* Note Grading Scale:

A = This is seriously a good movie. It will remain on my DVR for the season.

B = Totally exceeded my expectations. I'm happy to recommend.

C = This is an average Hallmark movie. Good holiday fun.

D = I'm disappointed... but I watched it. Why not?

F = I actually had a hard time getting through this one. And that says a lot.
