Here - take this bouquet of extremely rare flowers that you spent a week

stranded in Alaska to fetch for me. I don't actually want them.

In this movie, Jessica is a wedding planner for a celebrity Bridezilla who must have the Jingle Bell Flower for her Christmas Eve wedding. Unfortunately, the only place that has the flower is a small town (population 112) in Alaska. Jessica hopes to fly to Alaska, grab the flower, and head home in time to finish planning the wedding. Of course, we all know that she is getting stuck there, because she is a workaholic who desperately needs a small town to show her the error of her ways.

As it turns out, the plot element that I was ready to make fun of is actually the clever use of a true Christmas-themed flower. (I looked it up, and the Jingle Bell Flower is real. Who knew?!) Now the idea of a wedding planner flying to Alaska to get said Jingle Bell Flower for her celebrity bride client - I'll let you be the judge of whether that was a good idea or not.

This one had a slow start, but I enjoyed it more once Jessica got to play party planner for the Jingle Bell festival. Ronnie Rowe (Matt) is also fantastic, and the romance is fun because he is such a likable character. In the end, this is a solidly average Hallmark movie, hence the C. I added the plus because there were many cute moments that elicited an "awe" and a smile. And let's be honest - we all need that right now.

Hallmark gets an A on: small town Alaska; Ronnie Rowe Jr. (Matt); the always-popular car (and plane) trouble; tree decorating; tree lighting; the northern lights (required for any Hallmark movie set in Alaska); moose sighting; snow angels; sweet couples finding romance at the town dance

Hallmark gets a D on: the very silly premise; the very fake snowmen

Grade: C+

* Note Grading Scale:

A = This is seriously a good movie. It will remain on my DVR for the season.

B = Totally exceeded my expectations. I'm happy to recommend.

C = This is an average Hallmark movie. Good holiday fun.

D = I'm disappointed... but I watched it. Why not?

F = I actually had a hard time getting through this one. And that says a lot.
