It's snowing in Nashville! According to Google, Nashville receives an average of 4 inches per year, so this is not unheard of. However, I suspect that snow of this magnitude would completely shut down the city. Fortunately for us, this is Hallmark, so Melody Jones still gets to sing at the Grand Ole Opry.
In this movie, Melody is accused of plagiarizing her new Christmas hit, and she has 12 days to find the original sheet music to prove that she wrote it. To find the song that she created in high school, she must return home for Christmas. This is a fun and different Hallmark plot, which I appreciate. I also love Alicia Witt, who starred in one of my all-time favorites, The Mistletoe Inn. She doesn't disappoint in this one either.
Once home, Melody runs into old flame Chase, played by Brendan Hines. Melody and Chase work together to plan a Christmas concert for the town, write a new Christmas song, and discover the true meaning of home. The two of them are adorable, and their first date is the town tree lighting, which bodes well for their future.

This movie is just sweet and fun. It will keep you entertained, and the final ten minutes will touch your heart. I may or may not have gotten misty when they cut to the servicemen overseas during the Christmas concert.
Hallmark gets an A on: story; Alicia Witt; Brendan Hines; chemistry; likeable characters; cookie baking; Christmas decor; wardrobe; tree lighting date; choir robes; church scenes; tree decorating; including a nod to servicemen and women
Hallmark gets a D on: the Hunter Hamilton storyline
