Hallmark Channel Premiere | November 28, 2019

In this movie, Jessica is a historian tasked with creating an exhibit that highlights the history of Christmas at The Plaza. She is dating Dennis, who is one of Hallmark's worst wrong-for-you boyfriends, and she meets Nick, who is one of Hallmark's best leading men. It's the perfect recipe for a great Christmas movie.
I love the two leads in this one, as well as the supporting characters and unique storyline. In addition, the writing and film quality is a step above your usual Hallmark fare. Mostly, I love the setting of The Plaza, which couldn't be more perfect for a Christmas movie. Perhaps a sequel is in order?

Hallmark gets an A on: The Plaza; Elizabeth Henstridge (Jessica); Ryan Paevey (Nick); meet-cute; Reginald; ugly Christmas sweaters; Christmas karaoke; the most amicable of breakups; Reginald and Marie's love story
Hallmark gets a D on: Nick’s business cards; Nick’s Christmas decorations; Nick’s creepy van
Grade: A
* Note Grading Scale:
A = This is seriously a good movie. It will remain on my DVR for the season.
B = Totally exceeded my expectations. I'm happy to recommend.
C = This is an average Hallmark movie. Good holiday fun.
D = I'm disappointed... but I watched it. Why not?
F = I actually had a hard time getting through this one. And that says a lot.
