Perfection

*Note - if you are a lawyer in a Hallmark movie, always choose family law. You will regret choosing corporate law for the money, and no one will like you.

In this movie, Angie takes a magical train ride ten years into the past. By making different choices, she learns that she has the power to improve not only her own life, but also the lives of her family and friends. The storyline, scenery, and acting are all very solid in this one, and I didn't get bored at all. Despite the usual Hallmark elements, this movie manages to make the "you belong with your best friend" storyline feel new. Even the workaholic element isn't completely overdone.

I typically avoid time travel Hallmark, but this movie has convinced me that it can work. I love the appearances by Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson, and Lyndsy Fonseca is perfectly cast as Angie. Despite the Back to the Future star power, she really carries the movie.

Hallmark gets an A on: Christopher Lloyd; Lea Thompson; Lyndsy Fonseca (Angie); the train; the iPhone jokes; the humor; the mom/dad storyline; Aunt Myrt; the setting for the snowball fight; Angie's Christmas party dress; the dog; the scarves; the proposal; the ending

Hallmark gets an F on: taking a FaceTime call in the locker room - never a good idea; the fake relationship between Ben and Chloe; the amicable breakup that was on the more unbelievable side

Grade: A

* Note Grading Scale:

A = This is seriously a good movie. It will remain on my DVR for the season.

B = Totally exceeded my expectations. I'm happy to recommend.

C = This is an average Hallmark movie. Good holiday fun.

D = I'm disappointed... but I watched it. Why not?

F = I actually had a hard time getting through this one. And that says a lot.
