In this movie, Jazmin has a job that takes her all over the world, allowing her to avoid spending the holidays with her family. However, when her grandmother gets hurt in a freak yoga accident (!), she is forced to stay in Harlem to co-chair the Christmas Jamboree with best friend Caleb. Yes, we all know how this will end. Despite the typical Hallmark plot, this is an enjoyable movie with a fun cast of characters, and the tribute to Harlem is well done.
My biggest question is where Jazmin keeps all of her coats. I do not have an accurate count, but I would guess that she wears 15 different winter coats during the course of the movie. She arrived with only one suitcase, so I just don't see how this works. I did love them, however.
Hallmark gets an A on: Tina Lifford (Mama Belle); yuletide yoga; Mama Belle's yuletide yoga outfit; Mama Belle's brownstone; Jazmin's coats (where does she store them all?); the cooking montage; the rigged Secret Santa; Christmas dinner; the tribute to Harlem
Hallmark gets an F on: Jazmin's new job title: "Vice President of North America"
